Smurfs are asexual. They have no genitalia and were all created rather than born. Smurfette leads a life of sexual unfulfilment being that only her and perhaps Papa Smurf are the only ones with a definite gender. Smurfs are immortal and inherently good having converted Smurfette to the Smurf way of life.

Since they never really talked about sex, maybe you could assume that like most animals sex wasn't enjoyable so much as necessary for the species. And, since they never seemed to die, maybe it wasn't necessary for their species. Maybe it was more like-- hey, if you want a baby, make one by thinking about it. (Like komodo dragons.)
