I mean like with floppy discs. Can you do that? I have alot of things I put on my laptop through the two years I had it, saved in different spots and I want to put it on my new desktop. How many discs you think that would be? Both are Wndows XP but but my desktop is the home virsion. Can I do any of it?

I would burn CDroms, or DVDs, or use a 2Gb USBstick, or, better, if you have USB, an external drive.
Or, transfer files over a network with a VPN. Virtual Private Network.

YEESH with floppy disks?! YEARS. TRY DECADES. CDs would work better. However, the fastest way to do it would be to LAN your computers together, share all the files, and then just copy and paste the C:\ folder into your other computer (make sure you have enough space!)
