Oh I allow lots of room. I guess I always wish deep inside that people will want to be more than just "acquaintances." But if that is what they are most comfortable with....... I definitely have room for them in whatever capacity they wish our friendship to be.

When I first meet someone, I open a little at a time and 'test the waters' so to speak as we both discover what kind of person the other is. Gradually opening up more and more I can then gage how much they will open up in return. I leave that door open for them to share. If they wish to go through that door and enter into a friendship vs. an acquaintance'ship (is there such a word? well there is now) that then becomes their decision. I never want to force...... I just want to invite and wait and see.

But as far as room? Gosh..... we all should have room for as many people in our lives as possible. It's not hard to say hello. It is so much harder..... to look away and walk on by.

Yeah.

Sometimes it's nice to have those casual acquaintances. They're not profound or anything like that but they're better than nothing.

However, I don't exactly like acquaintances. I figure that if they were really worth my time and I was really worth theirs, we'd be friends.

I find that in life you dont really have a choice... you have to allow room for aquaintances. in fact what most people consider "friends" I consider aquaintances.
