My small black cat was bitten by a snake 2 weeks ago and recieved anti-venom and had to get her stomache flushed etc. She is now home with me (she came home yesterday) and can't eat or drink for herself. She is an adult and weighed about 1.5KG, before she was bitten (she has lost weight), we are feeding her the water with a syringe, but I am not too sure how much she would need. Does anyone know? And if anyone has any ideas for what we should feed her and how much, that would also be helpful, thakyou.

I would offer her water every 4 hours, try to get at least 10-20cc's down her at a time, but just give her as much as she'll take with out fighting. If your vet sells it, I would recommend Hills a/d or Eukanuba Max Cal. Both are good for debilitated patients and are easily syringe fed.

Contact a vet for percise dosage also have the poor thing examined. That would be the kindest advice I could give you. Marie V

Your veterinarian should have told you how much to give her. If you are unsure, please call them tomorrow. They will tell you.

Good luck.
