I find that I'm funny around those I'm not really close to. It's a shield. As long as I keep them away from what I really think or feel and just make them laugh, they won't want to know me. They won't attempt to see the real me. They'll just see the facade. Usually that's enough. Lately, I've been hating myself. I am an outcast but of my own accord... That's something I used to take pride in but now, I just feel alone.

For me, letting the guard down because you're letting people know you do have a sense of humor and can relate.

i only can be light of heart around those i feel comfortable around...otherwise i cannot be myself...for they refuse to know me...i just find other people...and yes...i'm witty by nature...sometimes humorous without intent...
