You need to actually complete high school with decent grades. A ged will get you into a community college, then after two years you can transfer to a four-year university.

Depends. Some schools, particularly smaller and more "bohemian" kinds of schools, will take you after eleventh grade or one semester of twelfth grade or if your application is strong enough. If you have a GED, that'll also count in most if not all universities.
