Mary's album is actually titled, 'The Breakthrough' and that is my vote. I would say that because she has more of a history than any of the other artists. I think the only other artists in this category who come close, might be the Dixie Chicks, and I do like them too, but I think this is Mary's year.
James Blunt, Gnarles Barkley, and Corinne Bailey Rae - not really fair to give new artists awards based on one-hot wonders.
just an opinion, and go Mary J!

James Blunt - You're Beautiful. They ALWAYS award pop songs in this category. Dixie Chicks are country, a country song never won this. Gnarls Barkley is too alternative. Corinne isn't popular enough. Mary has some chances, but still R&B song didn't win it recently.

Mary J. Blige "Be Without You" because she dominated the Billboard Awards with 9 awards, so I think she'll come away with Record of the year at the Grammys.

I want Corrine Bailey Rae to win, but I think James Blunt has a wider audience range...

Easy, James Blunt. He had a few hit songs off that album, and it is a safe choice for the Grammy voters. The album is actually really good to listen to from beginning to end, but you might feel like killing yourself afterwards!

Mary J Blige for sure. She's been #1 on the billboard chart longer than any of the other artist.

I hope it will be The Dixie Chicks. The song is a powerful one any way.
