One good method is, go by the first letters. (like VIBGYOR, for rainbow colours!) Another method is, by association with some thing you find easy to remember (make a simple statement with words, whose first letters help you to recall the list of states you need to recall!) A third method is, the card method: make cards with the states listed out, one state for each card. keep the cards in the order required, and keep looking at the cards and reading out the states from the cards in that order! Do it a few times, and you will see that you remember the list easily! (there are some more methods, but this will do for your purpose, I am sure!)

i do not in many cases have difficulty remembering lines, offered I actually have sufficient practice consultation time. Rehearsing the play, gaining knowledge of what my personality is doing and why signifies that the lines come obviously - and that i'm able to benefit them 'by technique of coronary heart,' as adverse to having them in my head, if that's sensible. yet in certain circumstances there is restricted practice consultation or the lines are merely really hard to nail. if so, no longer some thing beats merely drilling them, again and again with someone who will end me when I make a mistake. Then we bypass decrease back and start up over like that till I actually have the scene down ideal. that's monotonous artwork, notwithstanding that's the most acceptable way for me to do it. i recognize some actors use tapes - they tape the different characters' lines, with pauses, on a thanks to run the scene again and again without the help of yet another man or woman. some human beings swear by technique of writing all of it down. i come across that the added effective some thing is written, the better that is to memorize. strong writers have a experience of rhythm and bypass that facilitates an actor out pretty.

My daughter had to do something similar. She made up rhymes using the first letters of each name called a pnemonic. For example "My Very Excellant Mother Just Sent Us Nine Pizzas" is a pnemonic to remember the order of the planets - mercury, venus, earth, mars, jupiter, saturn, uranus, neptune, pluto. You could apply the same principal to your lists.

Write them on your hand...haha
Try acronyms. Even if they don't form a real word; for instance: Germany, Portugal, Mexico, Yemen. GPMY (try to sound it out to remember) Or in different order, PYMG.
