Not really, it's a commuter school. Most students do not live on campus and last I checked, the average age of a student is 26 and most have jobs and families on the side. Nevertheless, there is always a party going on in someone's apartment or hidden in their dorm or some other spot nearby.

haha. No! It's a commuter school, many people don't live in the city and if they do they're only on campus for classes-they have to work their asses off to pay for the crazy rent here. It's hard to meet people and make friends, and living in the dorms or the apartments across campus is way more expensive then renting a room around the school. Also, a lot of the landlords who do rent out to college kids live on one side of the house so it's had to throw a party anyway. Oh and if you take public transit and live around the school area you better prepared to cut the clubbing short by 10 since the trains don't run here past that time-we usually pay about $30 for a cab ride home from the bars downtown.

No, it's a commuter school. But it's also what you make of it. I went to UCSD, which is not a party school either. But there are plenty of people that party there, you should have to find them and make friends with the right people. I had a amazing time in college, but I know other kids at my school didn't b/c they didn't socialize that much. Chico is a party school but it also is more selective and is ranked higher academically than SF State, so you'll have more fun at Chico and get a better education.

Depends on who you ask. It wasn't on any of the official lists i've looked at, but that doesn't mean they don't party.
