I'm planning on having both my rabbits neutered/spayed at the same time. I've read that it is good for their bonding because they are going through the same thing. What should I do to prepare for them before and after the surgery. I'm planning on letting them stay inside my room while they are recovering from the surgery so I can monitor them. Should they be separated? I'm afraid they will move really fast and they will hurt themselves or one may hurt the other. thanks

Congratulations on being a responsible pet owner by getting your rabbits "fixed".
Your rabbits should be just fine after the surgery. Just leave them be in their cage/hutch, and they will look after themselves. Make sure that they have plenty of water, as they will probably be thirsty after the anesthetic. You would be amazed at how well they will be afterwards. Animals are amazing when it comes to taking care of themselves after surgery. They know their limits, and will act accordingly.
If you are really concerned about all of the possible scenarios, then ask your vet about what is appropriate for them. Your vet is knowledgable about these things, and will offer you the best advice.
You will enjoy your rabbits much more after they have been sterilized. They will calm down, and quite often become more cuddly/friendly.
Have fun with them and make sure that once they are healed, that they get a lot of exercise. They might put on some weight that isn't really good for them, so exercise is a good thing for them.
I hope that everything goes well for them/you, and that they will recover quickly.

They should be calmer. You might want to keep them apart for a little while, in case they want to get frisky and it affects their stitches. But don't leave them seperated for too long if they know each other and like each other already, they can die of depression and loss.

In addition to the other answers, after I had my bunny fixed she would not eat or drink, so I had to take her back in for anti-inflammatory shots and a pain shot. So watch them carefully. They don't communicate with sound so the only way you will know how they are feeling is to watch their behavior and appetite.
Good luck.

If you keep them apart then they can't fight.

And they sound adorable!
