I worked at a job where we were all very overworked. I was the secretary so I was doubly overworked. In the middle of all this madness, my boss tells me he wants to to throw him a surprise birthday part in the conference room in 2 days, and he wants presents. (wth!)
So, I dutifully call everyone about the party. Two days later, we are all in the conference room. Cake. Decorations. Presents. The whole nine yards. When my boss comes in, we all yell SURPRISE and start singing Happy Bday to you. But...
This is what everyone sang: "Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to you! SURPRISEEEEE Debi. Surprise to you!"
The party was for me. Everyone was in on the joke. That was their way of thanking me for all my hard work. I cried and cried.
