Why dont we have a White child college fund?

You know every other race has one.
Why cant we have a college fund that just goes to white kids. I am not prejudice just curious.

Why doesn't the White Race start one? All the other races, as you claim, who have one only have one because their own people put up the money.

I was going to say something about Legacy Points towards admissions, like what got Bush into Yale and Harvard while more deserving young men were shut out because THEIR grandaddy and daddy didn't go to the country club schools, You know the ones? It's kind of like Affirmative Action for Stupid Rich Boys Who Can't Pass The Admissions Board But Need A Draft Deferment.

Because, at the time that the "United ***** College Fund " was founded, the "African American" was still pretty much living either in poverty or was stilled being denied alot of educational opportunities or jobs. You have to realise that alot of state laws still practiced segregation well into the sixties, and even after, their was still alot division between the white majority, the African American Community, and other minorities both economically and socially, as well as politically. The segregation laws of the past are, in no small way, responsible for the division that affects people of color today. That is why we need such non-profit organizations, such as "The United Negroe College Fund" and other organizations to help benefit minorities, that may need a helping hand just to get an equal chance. We also have non-profit organizations with similar intentions, such as those that benefit the "Jewish Community", the "Gay and Lesbian" community, the "Asian Community", and other protected classes.

As far as "Affirmative Action" goes, I believe that best person qualified should get the job, but unfortunately there are those that do not get the same type of nourishment and education, that "White Middle Class America" recieves, so some who are different never even get the chance to educate and prove themselves. These organizations are neccessary to help ensure that people of color recieve the same resources and tools, that our Caucasian ancestors, of European descent, have generally had easy access too, for the past 200 years or so.

I agree with the question. It wasn't meant to be a racial slur, it's a truthful question.
I understand that uncf was started for a good cause and to help african american's who couldn't afford to go to college. However that doesn't mean that there shouldn't be a scholarship available exclusively for white people as well. If that were to happen though there would be a massive outpour crying racism, it isn't fair in all honestly. Black history isn't fair, slavery wasn't fair and it was wrong, you will never hear me debate that. However it is not fair that there are schools specifically for black students, and beauty pagents and magazines and even BET. Alot of people will argue that white people have everything else but in today's society, that isn't true. TV, Magazines and Pagents are all becoming diverse which IS a good thing. I do not agree however that it is okay for one race to have these things, but if we did it would be racism.

It's true that in society's desperate attempt to right the evils of those who came before us, we overcompensate with reverse discrimination. While I understand that minorities had been left out of such priveleges as scholarships and the like, it might be time to try to find some balance so that we are not creating yet another imbalance. What would be fair and non-discriminatory would be scholarships that did NOT go to any specific race, religion, or gender. Unfortunately, that's not going to change any time soon.

Whites are not the minorities. The fact of the matter is that most white people have jobs and most of them can send their kids through college. I'm white and my parents werent rich, but I found a way to get into college. It's called working your lazy off in sports, or academics, or whatever the hell you do. to get scholarship It's what everybody else does.

People who ask these questions are looking for trouble. You cant be as stupid as you sound and right a question like this and not know the reactions you would get.

There are organizations and foundations out there that give scholarships to Caucasian kids. It may not say it in the guidelines, but its there. That's why other races went and started their own because they saw through those "guidelines".

Now if you want one that specifically states "whites only" then go see the KKK about that. I'm sure they can help you.

Those black colleges are not all black either. There are other races that attend them.

Why don't we also have a college for whites? I know that there is 2 colleges for black people in this country.

Its all just a bunch of double standards. Minorities cry and cry for equal rights yet they push it past being equal into something else. And that is just another prime example.
