Why don't cellphone manufacturers implement a "SMS Block" option in the mobile phones like the "call block"option or "Accept selected calls"?

Wish I knew the answer to this too! Maybe some deal worked with the wireless companies... 10 cents a pop in and out.. the providers make a bundle!


The service providers will block them if you ask... but you have to stay on them.. took Cingular 3 months and numerous calls be before they actually did apply the block. Would be better if the phone could do it.

Because most service providers will add a "block text messaging" feature to the account free of charge.
