Maaaaaaaaate, strewth here, i been livin in Mi. for yonks and mate, when the lake effect comes bout, no snowman can be made! It is like so light and fluffy ya cant do nothin with it. Now after a few days, mate, if it warms up a tad THEN you might be able to. There are big differences in regular snow and lake effect. And this is fairdinkum. Hooroo

Yeeah. Maybe not right away but after a really cold night, the snow will get hard so you can make a snowman
