You're correct - Gore is a liberal lunatic and global warming beyond the normal is a myth.

Errm... I hate to point this out to the people saying "we can't be experiencing global warming, what about all the freakishly cold weather we've been having??!", but global warming doesn't just mean the whole world gets warmer, it also means there will be more extremes in our weather, such as snow & freezing temperatures in areas which don't normally get that cold. Here in Britain we have just had terrible storms, and before Xmas we had already seen signs of spring, before winter had even started!! Autumn (fall) was really late last year. The weather is definatley getting weirder.
Global warming or not, no one can predict the weather perfectly, so I don't quite get how not being able to predict storms a few months ahead has anything to do with whether global warming is "real". When you look at the bigger picture, i.e. the patterns in the weather over the long term, there are clear trends indicating some very real changes in the weather, that we should be pretty worried about!
I agree no one can PROVE that humans have caused global warming; it could of course all be a huge coincidence that global temperatures have been slowly rising, ice caps have been melting, entire species of plants & animals are moving into new habitats to follow the weather, important ocean currents are changing, and the weather is getting more & more strange, right after a period in which human beings pumped out large amounts of gases known to have "greenhouse" properties into the atmosphere. Yes, there have been periods of climate change in the past, yes, nobody can conclusively prove that we are responsible for the measurable changes that have been observed, but if theres even a TINY chance that we can do something to reverse these changes then we have a responsibilty to future generations to do it. Noone knows what will happen, or when, but there is a very real possibility that climate change will have a negative impact on the generation of children alive now. We all want the best for our kids (even if you don't have them yet, you wouldn't want to jeopordise their future before they are even born, would you??), and I have to admit I am scared that my kids will have to live through some tough times. But we may still have the potential to change that.
Even if no one can prove conclusively that climate change is real & within our control, I don't believe we should take the risk of not acting. How could you live with yourself if you realise in a few years time that you were wrong?
All it takes is a few small sacrifices to our stupidly high standards of living now to help reduce the chance of a possibly horrendous situation for our children & their children in the future. I think that is worth it, don't you?

You know, this is why the United States is declining as a world power. Somehow, the cult of stupidity got so out of hand that people who know nothing about climatology and earth sciences can deny what every respected and respectable scientist in those fields says, and people will listen. A huge chunk of an ice shelf broke off, and you won't listen because a former vice president didn't predict the weather well enough for you? Please.
Also, it's not 50-100 years. It's 5-10. This won't be happening to your grandchildren. It is happening to you. And I don't know where in the US you live, but the rest of us have been having some damn freaky weather, even for an El Nino year.

Please update the question with your GPS coordinates so we know where to send the hurricane(s) for your proof. Now, climatology is statistical in nature -- so, how many hurricanes coming your way would you say will provide proof to your satisfaction. Realize it may be 0, 1, 2, 3, ... due to the wide statistical variations. Pick a number.
No, the number of hurricanes will not provide proof for you.

YEA!!! & where is this global warming he & his cronies are whining about??? They say the Alaskan Glaciers are melting at an alarming rate... Really??? Well as an Alaskan resident all I can say is if that is true then why does Anchorage have 72" of snow with another 4 months of snow expected??? If the glaciers can melt in below freezing temps, then the more power to them!!!! My family & my husband's family live in Oregon in a town where snow is rare. They have had snow TWICE this month & their temps have been in the low twenties & even the teens. I guess Gore is feeling left out & like Jessy Jackson & Al Sharpton, when the chance to been seen & heard on T.V. is available they take it, no matter how ridiculous they look or sound.....

You are absolutely right. In fact, because we can't tell when any particular person gets in a car crash, that means cars don't exist. You are a freaking genius.
