G'day Ive got a no-name-brand 550w PS powering my 2 Nvidia 7950gt 512, i was woundering would it make a differce to my porformance if i were to get an upgrade (700w) to a more known and trusted brand?

Its not a matter of performance, either you have enough power or you don't. The cards won't underperform, they will crash if you don't have enough power. That said, it would still be a good idea, overloading your power supply is not good for your parts.
