You must be more specific in the form.
2-(3x-8) Can be written perfectly the same as 2-3x-8 which is
-6-3x
But because you say simplify I imagine you really mean
2 * -1(3x-8) (I put the one there for emphasis that it is really a number too)
Remember to distribute the -1
so 2 * -1(3x-8)
becomes 2 * (-3x+8)
and then -6x+16
And that's how you simplify

2-(3x-8)
2-3x+8
-3x+10=0
-3x+10-10= -10
-3x/-3 = -10/-3
x= 3 1/3

can i ask how old r u?
nyways to simplyfy the question remember if there is a negative sign outside d bracket then change the sign of each and every entity in the bracket and that -ve by +ve
now simply add the terms.
while adding add the x terms separetely and constant terms seperately. how?
we hav
2-(3x-8)
=2+(-3x+8)
=10-3x
try to solve
2x-((2+4x)-(5x+2))
ans:3x

First expand the brackets seperately -8(x^2-5x+7) = -8*x^2 -8*-5x -8*7 = -8x^2 + 40x -56 5(2x-5)(3x-7) = 5(2x*3x+2x*-7-5*3x-5*-7) = 5(6x^2-14x-5x+35) = 5(6x^2-29x+35) = 30x^2-145x+175 Add the two solutions together -8x^2+40x-56+30x^2-145x+175 = 22x^2 - 105x - 119
