When appropriate, spend time dwelling on it. Be comfortable. Have some food at your place. have a tv with you.

Let your self dwell on it, watch some tv too. Don't stop yourself from feeling bad. Let some of your worrying run away with you anyway it will. At some point you will notice you forgot what you were worrying about. It won't seem quite so bad. You'll wonder what it was that could have been so bad. (It's not as difficult as it may sound -have you ever watched a tv program only to suddenly realize you completely forgot what you were watching in the middle of a commercial?) Now you can try to remember it and worry some more but freshly so. In this way you will grow a little, it will diminish a little.

Everyone has crosses to bear in their lives, and many times silently. Believe it or not, most people have something (or many things) that they did or know of, that no one EVER knows about. If you REALLY need to right a wrong, especially if you can help someone else by revealing what this is, then by all means, do so. But if there will be nothing positive gained by opening up, then just realize that this is your "cross", put it on the back burner of your mind, and work on having it NOT having a major affect on your life.

GOOD LUCK ! We ALL have skeletons of some kind in our closets!

Just go on...life is too short, we all make mistakes..and if you dwell on it, it only does more harm...your reputation and self-esteem can be undone, but, only by YOU...so just let time pass, and whoever doesn't stick by you...you don't need them..true friends and family stick by you no matter what...don't dwell on it...just go with life and where it takes you and deal with it as it comes to you...everyone makes mistakes...no one is perfect..if everyone was perfect..there would be no crime, ect...but, life is ful of surprises, and whether it's good ones or not...just think positive things...positive all the way...don't regret, learn from your mistakes and let it and life go where it may...and all falls into place

Take ownership of it in your hart, write it down on a piece of paper, talk to someone you trust about it and then burn want you wrote down.

Talk it out with somebody. when you feel pain is when you dont share your problems with people.

next you should try and do is to forgive yourself and try to forget your past and face your future. Even when people remind you of your wrongs tell them its all gone.

remember that part of the Bible that said, OLD THINGS HAS GONE SEE ALL THINGS HAS BECOME NEW. Just believe it.

That was then, this is NOW.
You live in the present, not in the past. The things in the past make who you are today, and its up to you to live your life to its best.

well if you really really did mess up, and things will get more messy if you come clean, then don't come clean, just let it go, unless you hurt someone pretty bad and damaged relationships or something, then its best to come clean, i cannot imagine how a person lives with himself runing other peoples lives.

I think it depends on what you did. Did you harm someone, is it criminal...I think you should live with it, one day you will forget, and try not to dwell on it.
