I think so. I think they should have the 3-4th best record in the NBA right now. Kobe's stats should be 31ppg, 6rbs, 6 assists and Odom needs 20 and 10. I really think Kobe could take a couple more shots in the 1st quarter and Odom really needs to score more.

I mean everyone acts like they're doing so great because Kobe is trusting his team mates but I'm sorry their record is hardly impressive for a team with the best player in the NBA. Kobe should be scoring a little more, not as much as last season but a little more and Odom needs to shoot more also, and they could probably use a trade.

Him averaging 3 points more a game doesn't mean his team mates shouldn't be involved. Jordan won rings averaging around 31ppg.

I think they're overachieving considering that Odom has been hurt for much of the season, and Kwame Brown has also been injured for part of the season.

Kobe might not be scoring as much, but at least he's getting more of his teammates involved which is going to pay off when the Lakers are in close games, and he needs his teammates to step up.

It doesn't matter if Kobe scores 30 points and his teammates score 60 points, or Kobe scores 20 points and his teammates score 70 points because in the end, it adds up to 90 points. I think it's better to have Kobe score 20 points a game and his teammates score 70 points a game because teams can't double team Kobe anymore, so his teammates are more involved in the game. By distributing the points all around, Kobe doesn't need to score all the time for the Lakers to win. His teammates can win the game when Kobe is having a bad night.

Hell no!! The Lakers are overachieving like crazy. They play in the toughest conference, Lamar Odom was injured for part of the year, Kobe was injured for part of the year, and their 3 big men are Kwame Brown, Andrew Bynum, and Rony Turiaf.

That team, with that talent, shouldn't even be allowed to make the playoffs. If they get into the playoffs higher than a 6 seed, that will be an unbelievable season.

I think the Lakers played over their heads while Odom was out. Kobe was the only good player they had.

No! Considering all of the injuries they are probably overacheiving. Many people will disagree because when you have a talent such as Kobe you expect greatness day in and day out.

I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY ANY ONE IS SAYING THAT KOBE SHOULD BE SHOOTING MORE WHEN THE LAKERS ARE WINNING. SOME PEOPLE SHOULD NOT HAVE A DOCTORATE ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY MAKE ILLOGICAL STATEMENTS AND COME TO WRONG CONCLUSIONS.

the lakers will make it to the finals if they add another difference maker player on the team (maybe Jason Kidd...)?
