During what scene in the film is Al Green's "Let's Stay Together" played? I think it's in the bar, when Marcellus is meeting with Bruce Willis's boxer character, but no one else seems to remember it playing. Is this right? We're at work debating this. Thanks for the help.

Absolutely. I've seen this movie at least 20 times. you're right. It's when Marcellus Wallace is meeting with Butch to discuss how he is supposed to throw the boxing match.

You are correct. It is the scene in the bar. It is 27 minutes and 5 seconds into the movie to be exact as I just watched it on my dvd. The section is entitled "Vincent Vega and Marcellus Wallace's Wife"

i'll have to go with fight club on this one. although, both are classic films, i think fight club has the edge. i think the characters from both films are really well developed, but i think fight club does a better job with the storyline and imagery. pitt and norton both really knock your socks off in this film. the chemistry is great. it is also great with travolta and jackson, but pitt and norton just seem to hold my interest better. the story teaches us how American culture in so many ways, has become exactly the way they say it has. we allow ourselves to get taken in to the idea that our home must look like an Ikea museum and that enough isnt enough. fight club forces you to look at yourself as well as the world around you. it orces you to be honest. BQ:for this, i would say the characters from fight club have it over pulp fiction. everyone from pitt and norton, down to jared leto, meatloaf, and helena bonham carter. bq2:films on my watchlist are "blue valentine" starring ryan gosling and michelle williams. also, horrible bosses. just a sidenote-if you get a chance, see"all good things", a true story starring ryan gosling and kirsten dunst. loved it. also, see "black swan", if you havent yet

Yes, it's when Marcellus is paying Butch off so he'll take a dive. They have the "Pride" talk. But it's definitely that scene. (Awesome song, by the way)
