Well right now John Mayer's going through a big transition in his career. With the John Mayer trio, and Continuum he's made a shift towards a more rock-based, Eric Clapton-type of sound and I've really started to develop a new respect for him. "Your Body is a Wonderland" is a pop song, and a pretty bad one at that, but I think the guy is maturing and getting a lot better now that he has more artistic control over his music. As a new musician record labels often push you in directions you don't necessarily want to go in, but now that he's an established artist he's making the music he wants to make, and its good.

To be honest i had no idea who was john Mayer until i check him out on a guitar magazine an i have to say hes a really good guitar player .. he has even jam with B.B KING! but as far as his music goes its OK an we should not judge any type of music ... keep the comments to Ur self because what u like others may not like it.. we should respect everyone especially in music cause the effect of music is huge in this world (Jimi Hendrix says it all) just take a look at when u go to a concert u forget all of Ur problems and every one is in one room to have fun and have an nice experience that's the power of music.

I've never cared much for him, but he has gotten a bit better since he's started smoking pot. His trio was decent- but he's not the next Clapton- and shouldn't have shared the same stage with some of the legends he has. Just mediocre.

tottally he has one good song, every once in a while, but he's not that good of a singer, and his songs aren't either!
