It's all up to you. Getting a new computer will cost you more money than simply getting an upgrade copy of Vista (several hundred dollars minimum for a new computer vs. $100 for the basic upgrade Vista software), but if you think you need a new computer then go ahead and take the opportunity to get a new one now that it comes with Vista. My personal stance is to wait until you need a new computer. If you need to have Vista now, don't waste the money on a new system unless the one you have isn't getting the job done for you. Just spend $100 and get the upgrade software.

i think it's best if u wait for Vista to settle down a while. See what the user review is.

i personally wouldn't get it right away because microsoft is very well known to put nasty bugs in their os's(operating systems).
i would give it some time for them to fix the bugs and such errors.
you could also read reviews of what people & experts have to say-a very good source would be "consumer reports"
