Pistons. Proven championship contender.

Wizards are playing well. But we'll see how they go after the All Stars.

The contenders and pretenders are normally separated during the second half of the season. And teams with Finals caliber step up a notch.

I have to say my New York Knicks they are maybe not the best but we are looking pretty good compare to some of the other teams because we have won a lot since the brawl against Denver... but to be honest i don't think no one in the east is that good this year because all of the old top eastern teams from last year are not that good this year so to me it is up in the air right now any team from the eastern conference can make it to the playoffs this year ..unless one or more of these teams get better after the all star break

since there has to be "best", then I'd say Washington or Cleveland. But this is like winning an award just because somebody has to win it. The East is weak. More so this year than it usually is. The 6th seed in the West is still better than either of these teams. Sorry to the people who live on the East Coast who will probably try and "thumbs down" me, but that is the truth.

I think it's the Wizards right now. But by the time the playoffs roll around it will be either the Heat or the Cavs.

It's close between Washington and Detroit, but right now I have to give it to the Wizards. Arenas, Jamison, and Butler are one of the best trios in the league.

Washington Wizards because they have talent and they are hungry for an NBA title.

THe New Jesrsey Nets
While they are underachieving and Injured now they are still the most talented. And will probably be there at the end.
