I never been there but I know that there is 4 seasons in a year. If you are living above the equator then weather is winter now. If you live below the equator then the weather is summer now. Basiclly the season is the opposite than those who love above the equator. I would suggest to go on cnn.com and look up the weather there around the time you are going to South Africa.

Mild and very pleasant....not so hot at all but a bit on the dry side as the summer rains has subsided....but you can never tell as the world weather pattern has been very unpredictable
