Unemployment is a word that rests in the dictionary of only the person who does not wish to be employed.
I, frankly would even sweep the streets to be employed.

More private sector jobs

Cutting the rate of employers' social insurance contributions for one-person enterprises that take on a new member of staff will create opportunities for more jobs in the private sector. During the period 2006-2010, SEK 900 million will be invested to stimulate development in small and middle-sized enterprises. Strategic development programmes will be drawn up for six Swedish industries: forestry and timber, metallurgy, vehicle manufacturing, pharmaceuticals and IT.



The Committee on Finance shares the Government’s opinion that more women should be given the opportunity to start their own business. Extra investments will therefore be made to encourage more women entrepreneurs. The tax on carbon dioxide will be abolished for industrial companies involved in emissions trading schemes.


Improved quality in the public sector

Quality in the public sector will be increased with the creation of 20 000 “bonus jobs”. In addition, subsidised positions to replace employees on educational leave will be introduced in the public sector. Another measure to improve public sector quality is a rise in the general government grants to municipalities and county councils.


Work placements will reduce unemployment

In order to reduce the number of unemployed higher education graduates 4000 work placement positions will be introduced for academics. More places will also be offered on the advanced education programme in administrative practice for immigrants with higher education.



Unemployment among young people is high. The Government has therefore proposed that 3000 apprenticeships be established for young people. The number of available places in higher education will also be increased by a total of 17 500.


Fighting ill health

Measures will be taken to reduce ill health in Sweden. A total of SEK 1 billion per year will be allocated between 2007 and 2009 to bring down sickness absence.


Increased child allowance

Child allowances and supplementary allowances for additional children will be raised by SEK 100 per child per month as of 1 October this year. The first payments will be made retroactively in December. Moreover a new supplementary allowance of SEK 100 will be introduced for families with a second child.

We can do a lot of things to tackle this issue..first find people who need employement and form self help groups...findout what the industry needs... collect cash for the materials required to educate the group....Assign multiple roles to the members of the group as teachers n students...the group member learn and educate others...when all feel they are ready ...strike the industry..
this model if adopted in small steps and by all will surely reduce un employment...... sounds crazy but don expext the government to change policies.... they've been there for a long time and done nothing...
