Go to the American Rabbit Breeder's Association website and buy their Standard Book of Perfection for rabbits and cavies. It will list all of the breeds and variets of rabbits that are currently recognized. It has pictures of each breed and gives a description of what each variety/color should look like.

Another way you could find out is by asking a local rabbit breeder in your area that shows rabbits at ARBA shows to help you. They probably will be able to tell you what breed it is or will at least have an ARBA standard book of perfection that they can look it up in. I'd recommend looking it up in the book of perfection anyhow because not all rabbit breeders are good at identifying the breed and variety.
