I ask, because in general, people just hate the man. If that is the case, doesn't it stand to reason that people would have less respect for the laws he makes or has enforced?

Well, Bush doesn't make the laws...and I'm certain you know that it's the legislature, the senate then the President who signs it into law. So, it takes a long time and does lots of traveling before it even reaches his desk.

Since I have my degree in Law Enforcement and Public Safety Management, I don't hate the laws but rather look for ways to enforce them. Laws have been ratified and changed or just been abolished, but that isn't by action of the President either, but by each state. So in answer to your question?...I respect the law and always did, no matter who has been President.

Since Bush cannot make laws, I am guessing you are trying to ask if people simply are disgusted with all venues of government straight down to the judiciary level due to Bush? My answer would be that I was always disgusted with certain laws and judiciary decisions long before Bush stopped playing with his GI Joes and became president. Bush though, is like putting salt instead of the required sugar into what was a bad recipe to begin with.

Funny you should ask. I lost a lot of respect for the laws about perjury after Clinton committed breaches of them.
I also lost a lot of respect for Clinton when he lost his law license for the perjury he committed.
I don't know of any laws Bush has broken since he was President, and he is yet to be impeached, unlike Clinton.
So in general, I guess I have more respect for laws since Bush has been elected, thanks for asking.
I guess what I find funny is conservatives didn't run around and break more laws just because they didn't like Clinton. Looks to me like someone is wanting an excuse to break the law.
"The President made me do it!" defense.

Neither, the man in the White house doesn't affect how I feel, Clinton, Bush or anyone else.
However, since I've discovered Ortiz's, and Kennedy's willingness to subvert immigration law, that has made me lax. If the Congressmen and Senators sworn to uphold the law will discard it for their own lust for power, I'm not so worried about my own conduct.

No, the law is based on the constitution, not on whoever happens to be president at the time. If you only obey our laws when there's a president that agrees with you in office, what kind of American are you?

We need to grow up people.

Bush has certainly given me more respect for the office of the president after Clinton's humiliating term.

There is no LAWS in the USA since Bush, only Crimes and Fraud, it will take a very long time to fix that... someone better jump quick on that steering will.

He doesn't even respect the laws "he makes". He adds a notation to virtually everyone passed during his time in office that basically says he doesn't have to follow those laws. People don't hate the man. They hate what he has done.

I have always respected the law. Always will.

The same.

Now, let me correct you. People in general do not hate the man. People who believe every left wing liberal lie they hear, probably hate him, because they don't realize the reason for the "hate" can not be defended in a debate.
