Best: the FOOD!!! or should I say the rich religious history that gave us yoga and so many other, lesser know spiritual traditions
Worst: poverty, sexism (parents killing off their own baby girls just because they are girls)

the best thing i will say would be the feeling you get wherever you go in the city. the feeling of home.
india, i believe, is a very home-y country. makes u feel welcome. i might be biased because i am an indian.
worst thing in delhi would be the heat. it boils!!

Relatively cheap in the South is the only good point.
'Hell' would be a better pace to visit than India.
Everything bad that you can image plus more is here.

BEST- the unity in diversity ( no lectures here), the warmth and afection of people towards each other and towards the foreigners to welcome as their own people.
and the positvity in the countrry's growth.
WORST - the population with which the country is progressing ( pun).
