According to me,sehwag should play in world cup.But team need not be depend on him as only opener.Gautam and robin uttappa should also be given chance to prove themshelves.

I dont think Sehwag should play in world cup, because in recent the most problamatic slot for india is the opening slot, and other guys are doing well in the opening slot after sehwag, like Ganguly, Utthappa, Gambhir.., Sehwag has also no place in middle order because he was given chances in middle order and he dose not perform in this slot also.

It should all be left on his performance in a few matches which he can play before world cup. If he performs then yes else no. See if India wants to become a successful team we need to be professional which demands that only those should play who are consistant.
These Uttappa and party have also not been tested regularly and on international fields in recent time. So they should not be preferred over Sahwag. However if he fails to deliver even now... then i am sure even he will understand in hearts of his heart that he should be dropped.

Yes...If and Only If..he performs..or shows sum signs of returning to form at the domestic level..
Coz there is no denyin he is a good player...
But since this trend of dropping palyers who are out of from has been started by Rahul and Greg - every1 should be measured usuin the same yardstick..
Irfan was dropped..but fairly brought back coz he is performin well at the domestic level..so Sehwag too should prove himself the same way...
Sehwag in form is gonna b awesum! I really hope he is back to his blisterring- "i play my 'nattuural' game" form!! lol

We hav given Sehwag a lo of chances he deserves to be out of the team. for him our team has suffered to much losses for him nd he has proved to be a burden for the team. And there is no question of taking him in the squad when we hav in form openers like SOURAV GANGULY, Robin Uthappa and Gautam Gambhir.

We should take Anil Kumble instead of Sehwag.

sehwag is in off form now. Indian selectors said earlier that only players who are in form can play for India. so,shewag should not go to w.indies.

Yes definitely. Every 1 has bad & good days so u can't just writeoff any one as he has not performed in few matched but be sure he will come back and thrash the oponent badly. Jai Hind

Yes he should be selected for the world cup. As he has loads of experience with him. I think we should only select the experience players for World Cup.
