The difference between rope and cuffs is not nearly as simple as one would like it to be. Rope leaves ligatures but the feel is intense, cuffs look great but can be a bit of a hassle and if you are being say, suspended by them, can be nonconsensually painful (sometimes even causing or adding to already existing carpal tunnel). So its really a matter of personal taste. Me? I like both

I prefer silk rope. Not as easy to get out of as scarves, but don't leave the bad burns like regular rope does. Plus, loose the keys and you don't have to worry as much.
Go to your local adult store and grab some. They make it already fashioned into cuffs and ankle tie downs too.

Cuffs: bar none. Properly "loaded" and applied right on a suspect, you can handcuff someone in under 2 seconds--before they realize it.
Anyone can wriggle out from a rope bond. Hell, Houdini did it w/ ease.

Definately cuffs, but not those fur lined things. I want to feel the metal on my skin.
