There are settings in the Converters like Ulead that you need to select, before burning, like whether you want it in the NTSC or PAL or SECAM/MESECAM format and if you want it in DVD, which is .vob, or CD, which is .dat, and, from the look of it, you didn't do this configuration.

The DVD is, therefore, in a codec [compression decompression] format unrecognizable to the DVD Reader or ROM.

You could burn another DVD, this time selecting NTSC, if you're in USA, or PAL/SECAM/MESECAM for the rest of the world. Also select DVD mode, that is .vob and then compose, author and burn the disc.

This time, it will work on any DVD Player or ROM.

All the best!

Cheers!!!!

Sometimes i got same problem with Ulead too.

* Always finish your project with make files first (requires some HD space), if you already have the files on HD, it much easier to burn than you burn your project directly with Ulead.

* Try to decrease your writing speed, 4x is ok.

Fell free to contact my email for your question about video editing.
* Try another editing program, i found pinnacle studio 10 much better than Ulead.

you mean your DVD player you use for your television or on your computer? Some DVD players used strictly for the television cannot read a burned DVD, not unlike an older cd player that cant read a burned mp3 cd. Older technology.

did you finalize the disc? with some kinds of DVD burning you must finalize to be able to read it with a different reader.

Could be that the dvdrom unit is too old to read the file format or doesnt recognize the DVD+ disk!
