Welllllllll, not intentionally! I have found one or two over the years that weren't returned but I really didn't do it on purpose.

Did you ever read the short story "The Library Policeman"?

I feel deep shame to say yes I have. My friend & I stole several fiction books from the library (maybe 10 each) over a couple weeks. A few months later they started putting magnetic strips in the books so people couldn't steal them. I realize that something like that takes time to put in place, but I still think it was because we stole those books. The books are still in my mother's house.

whilst it incredibly is authentic which you're generally answerable for lost or stolen products on your library card, some libraries will provide help to swap it with a replica you have offered, that could now and back be greater value-effective than the unique library purchase value. additionally, you are able to, if it applies to you, plead a difficulty case and spot in the event that they are able to waive all or a factor of the value of the e book.

I kept a copy of "the catcher in the rye", after a friend of mine who was working in the library took it out of the library without checking it out. Does that count?

I feel horrible amongst this distinguished crowd ....to say yes I have ....and to make it even worse me & my friend stole books on Gandhi as we had a paper on Gandhi in college & were too lazy to take down notes. Actually I dont think its a big thing. Books are meant to be read & I'm sure Gandhi feels complimented that 2 girls were desperate enough to steal his books to read him !
