Yes,it would help, perhaps those troops would stop Israel's attack on Palestinians...this would combat too Palestinian militancy...Israel's violence leads to Palestine's violence and this turns into an never ending cycle of violence...

Buffer zones only work when there is a buffer. There's no space between the two areas. Plus men don't die for someone else's cause. To combat terrorism effectively is dangerous. Will a UN peacekeeper really put his life on the line? My guess is no. Will an Israeli soldier? yes.

UN are observers only. No combat missions. They will only guard, when the militants start up they withdraw and the real military stands in and completes the mission. UN is a police force only not military.
Look it up at www.history.com
UN and it's inception the mission of the UN forces? you will get facts there as well as for the NATO people as well. eh?

There doesn't seem to be a point.

If the UN troops have a mandate to hunt down terrorists.. then they'll be doing exactly what Israel is doing now. So there's not point in involving UN forces.

If they don't have a mandate, the "Palestinian" criminals will simply use them for cover like Hezbollah does. And the situation just gets worse.
