I am just curious to know what constitutes as a straight transsexual and what constitutes as a gay transsexual. Please do NOT give opinions. I want the fact. Perhaps a reliable website link would be good...

Transpeople indentify as the gender they have transitioned to. Therefore, a gay transgendered person is, like a gay non-transperson, one who is attracted to/has relationships with the same sex and a straight trans person is opposite sex attracted.

You will see some medical literature, particuarlly older research, which bases sexual orientation of transpeople on their birth gender - that is, a transwoman (MTF) who has sex with men is "gay" while one who has sex with women is "straight".

There are two types of transsexuals: male-to-female (called transwomen), and female-to-male (called transmen).

Transwomen who are attracted to other women are lesbians/gay.

Transwomen who are attracted to men are straight.

Transmen who are attracted to other men are gay.

Transmen who are attracted to women are straight.

And of course, it's possible for both types of transsexuals to be bisexual, pansexual, omnisexual, asexual, whatever a non-transsexual might be.

Hope that helps!
