just a drop or two. the oil should be warm.

Also, put a cup of salt in a cotton sock, tie it and heat it in the microwave. Lay it on the sore ear.

Honestly i dont put oil in my ears cause it makes the inside of my ear to soft and its hard to tell how far im putting the cotton swab down in my ear. Try a drop of peroxide. Youll know its working cause it fizzes in your ear and you can hear it. Once it stops fizzing lean your ear back over and let the drop drain back out. I wouldnt use oil i dont care if it is ear oil. Peroxide is used for killing infection so it will work.

A few drops then put cotton in your ear. Lay your head down on a heating pad. If it keeps hurting, go to the doctor because, it could be an infection.
