The government apparently wants us all to give our newborn Vitamin K and Hep B injections, but you shouldn't give your child Hep B injection when it's sick or has allergies, but how do we know they're allergic at birth! Vitamin K is not found in human body or breast milk so are the repercussions of not getting this injection really common?

Well, the baby's immune system is not fully developed until much later, so you are compromising right off the bat. Second; hepB is spread via blood and semen, is your baby going to use needle drugs or engage in unprotected sex? Third, all vaccines contain a myriad of allergenic and toxic ingredients.

Vitamin K is to help blood clotting. We did an herbal, oral Vit K. Our naturopath just used a medicine dropper next to my nipple as the babe nursed. My dd had it injected into her IV, as she was on antibiotics after birth (which I regret because the antibiotics discoloured her teeth permanently.)

Vittamin K is ok.. I belive it helps their eyes.
As Far as HepB you really don;t need to immunise them for this .. not for a while anyway seeing as though it is only contractable through sex or blood transfusions. You could always wait until your child is a teen and make it part of their sex education to help the learn responsibility.

I think the chances of something bad occuring becuase of the injections is fairly minimal. I had a baby boy last week and I had him immunised - for his sake and others.

The dangers of the immunization/vitamin pale in comparison to what can happen if you don't get them. if it turns out he's allergic, well, that's why God made Benadryl ;-) anyway. get the shots. It's fine.

i am the biggest fan of immunisation... they arent harmful they are more helpful... plus they cant go to school with out them. so would you rather get them done when they are a baby or wait until they are 5 and have to hold them down to a table so they get their shots??
