Everyone seems to think the bear would win on account it "has big teeth". Both the Gorilla and a Grizzly have similar traits that defines their size and strength. They are both very strong, but they are both completely different in behaviour when it comes to finding food or hunting. The ape family, and this includes the so called "civilized" modern human being, have a history of bad temper and violence, not that the bear wouldn't either if he or she felt threaten by a stranger. But the Gorilla is a smarter creature than the bear, I wouldn't be surprised if the gorilla use tools to fight back, such as throwing a heavy rock if an attacker was closing in. If you were once a kid fooling around in school with your friends and you once got hit by a pencil or a coin (I know I have), well it hurts...now picture a rock the size of a bowling ball only a Gorilla's sheer force can catapult hard into the air. Then again I may be giving the Gorilla's use of tools a bit too much credit just because they in the ape family. I'm still not convinced that a bear would win, a bear has claws, very important for battle, but a Gorilla has much more powerful hands and arms, I guess I just picture the bear being wrestled down and getting his jaw broken like King Kong did to that T-Rex hahaha.
