well the other day my car wouldn't keep charged, drained the battery fast, no stereo nothing. So I figured it had to be the alternator. Well after stressing all weekend, getting the cash to fix it, I started it up today and everything is working just fine. Even with the lights on. I wasn't tripping. Has anyone else ever had their car fix itself?

The car did not repair itself. Has there been a change in the weather lately? 1. with a wet condition under the hood the belt can slip causing the alternator to fail to keep the battery charged. when the alternator slips on the belt you run on the battery until the battery goes below about 9volts. that is when the injectors stop supplying fuel and the car stalls. It is known that given some time that the battery, if still in a good conditon, can appear to rejuvinate itself(almost like recharge) and provide enough power to start and run the car. You can go to Auto Zone and they will inspect the car for you, give you a free alternator test and make recommendations as to a correct repair. DON M

Your car did not fix itself. You have an intermittent failure in your alternator. It will go out again, and you will not know when. Check for loose connections at the alternator and battery, or a loose alternator belt.

I agree that the warmth performs a place in the automobile's dent fixing itself. the fabric that the automobile bumper is produced from plus the warmth performed a place in the disappearance of the dent 2 weeks later in my daughter's Honda Civic.

I'd say it may not be fixed, most likely you've a loose cable. Fix it before it leaves ya stranded. Good Luck
