I'm leaning towards Mac. I recently got a Macbook and I love it, I've had a Compaq running Windows XP for years though. When I compare the two the Mac books up faster, has never had a system freeze or crash, the only problem I've had was the learning curve. A month after having it I have no issues and basically know how to use it just as any other computer. The only downside I have come to gather is there is way more software for Windows based computers. I'd go with a Macbook or a Macbook Pro, however if you get a Windows based laptop I recomment Leveno, they're just a good quality laptop.

Windows is not a company. It's a product made by Microsoft.
It all depends on what you like if you want to go with Apple or Microsoft.
Have you tried using both? Both companies are pretty good. If you have friends that own products from both companies ask them if you can use their laptops or computers just to compare the two Operating Systems. I personally prefer Windows over Mac. And I kinda like Linux, and Linux is free : )

windows does not make computers or laptops, they make the Windows operating system that run on computers from dell, toshiba, HP, etc. etc. etc. Apple makes computer, laptops, as well as the operating system. I like macs and windows, I have a mac now. If you are not good at computers, maybe you should get a windows machine because more people will be able to help you.

The only downside to Mac is the limited amount of software you can buy, and some software is pretty pricey compared to Windows. Also there isn't as much free software written for Mac's though it has gotten a bit better. I heard Macs are good, but to me it's just a computer with a different operating system. Your choice, best of luck.

Idk; i'm using Linux, kidding aside. You should consider your need of a specific system. Macs are intended for high-quality graphics design and Windows' more into general use. Windows has more software than Mac because of its commercial viability, however, when it comes to integrity, Mac is more robust.

just buy whatever you're more comfortable with
