I own a 2003 porsche 996 GT2 and an 87 porsche 930 turbo, and I partially own an engineering firm that makes LCDs.

basically, if you love cars, any job will do, if youre willing to make sacrifices and do stuff yourself. theres guys in the PCA (porsche club of america) that i race with that drive 15 year old bottom of the line like 115 hp beater BMWs, and just have an absolute blast with them. its not about what you drive, its about your passion for it, and doing what you can with what you have.

I had the GT2 before i bought the 930 turbo, yet i still decided to buy it, despite it being slower, rougher, less refined in every way, simply because of the character of it. Character is what makes cars so awesome, not just on paper stats. a true car lover could be perfectly content driving their 1988 carolla from auto show to auto show in their area, and a non car lover could be unappreciative of their 300+ thousand dollar lambo.
