i felt it is nearly impossible to pronounce the two consonants d and z at the quickly or else either one of them is likely to be missing .

is the sounds of the d and z joined together or separated or would there be any special skills to learn this?

Most English speakers actually say frenz and garz. The dz sound is aspirated (breathed out) as one sound. Sort of like dzahh.
It is really hard to write this without phonics symbols. It is nearly impossible to pronounce those consonants together, and lazy English takes over.

Well, try pronouncing 'friens' and 'guars', the d is reduced to a tap of the tongue on the upper gum. Not the full stop of 'friend' or 'guard', but a harder sound of the touch. The tongue vibrates below the gum on the plain 's', touches briefly on the ridge of the gum on the 'ds' touches more firmly on the upper gum for 'd'

Hi there,
There are numerous documented benefits and advantages of teaching children to read early on, and teaching them to reading using phonics and phonemic awareness instructions. It is clear that early language and reading ability development passes great benefits to the child as they progress through school at all grades, and that early language and reading problems can lead to learning problems later on in school.

Hope it helps.
