One of the major events was the Crimea War, took place between Ottoman Empire, United Kingdom, France, Piedmont Sardinia alliance and Russia, in 1853-1856. It resulted as a defeat to Russia.

Other than that, Napoleon Wars was the other major event. Russia lost Moscow, but then immediately conquered it again. Pushing back the Napoleon's forces back to Europe, Russian army managed to invade Paris, finishing the threat of Napoleon. After returning from Europe, Russian officers brought back ideas of Liberalism, and attempted an unsuccessful revolt called Decembrist Revolt in 1825.

You have to know that you haven't a chance. Plead for mercy.

OK, if it will help at all, in 1854-55 there was a war with Britain, France and Sardinia, centered on the Crimean port of Sebastopol, on the, uh, African-American Sea.
