My house is currently under rain water invasion. Rain water comes into the living room from our balcony the balcony servers as the roof of the living room. The ceiling is damaged and rain water comes in from a hole as large as a one dollar coin. The situation is getting worse during heavy rain fall. I wish to find out how much it will cost me and how long it will take fully repair it. I've upload the images to the following http://au.geocities.com/mycatmiaomiao/roof.htm

First you need to find where the water is entering from, not so much where it is coming out of. Rip open the sheetrock (it's damaged already) and start tracing the water path back. You can try this with a hose when it is not raining.

Cover the suspected leakage area with a tarp or plastic sheet to keep the water off and limit the damage until you can determine the source. Don't just let it keep leaking!

Not only do you need to take care of the problem quickly, you also need to take out the damaged drywall and dry the area behind before it turns moldy...which I absolutely guarantee it will. I would have a roofing inspector come out once you have the ceiling opened up and try to determine the source of the leak. It will cost money to have a contractor come out to fix it. It will cost a lot MORE money if you hold off and then have to hire a roofer, a structural contractor, a mold remediation company and a sheetrock and insulation company to fix the inevitable damage that will occur. Trust me...I know from experience.

is false ceiling or concrete floor slab? if only a small hole on your concrete slab, is not a big problem. you can buy some epoxy putty from any hardware shop to seal it up.
