I think that it's nice to believe that doing something nice for someone will make them want to do something nice for someone else, unfortunately that isn't always the case. I try to always do good things for people as much as I can, it makes me feel like maybe I have made somewhat of a diiference. If it did then it seems worth it to me. If it doesn't work out that way all of the time then at least I can say I tried.

It all depends whether or not THEY recognize it as nice or not. If they do, though, absolutely I think they will. It's unfortunate that so many people are naturally judgmental in everyday situations though. It's hard for people these days to believe someone is being 100 percent genuinely nice w/out expecting something in return. I just hope this gets better. Good question.

If only everyone in the world knew how to Pay it Forward...
No............. But I never do ANYTHING nice for someone with the expectation that they will do the same. All that matters is that I made an act of kindness - and the "Pay forward" can come back to me in some lifetime as "Karma" "Resoprocity" "Fortune" or "Good Luck".......... Know what I mean dude?

its a nice thought and most of us have seen pay it foward lol i think that just doing a nice thing for someone is special in itself if someone continues on the favour i think that says something about who they are. But i really would have to say that it would be up to the individual. I know I would if i could :)

I like to think they would, it would make for a nicer world. But, weather they do or don't would not effect my doing nice things for people because I feel good about myself if I can make someones day or life a little easier. That's what counts, how you feel about yourself.

I have been doing this all my life, and I find out that when they do something for someone else they sometimes use them for what they can get for free

I have witnessed it. People like to be treated nice and when they are, they think about holding a door opened for a person behind them, or other helpful gestures.

Pay it forward only works in the movies and on commercials. If it worked the world wouldn't be at war all the time and no one would be hungry.

It works sometimes... I've notice when I do something nice to someone, they will do nice to me and to others... it's very contagious.
