We're going to India in June of this year, flying into Delhi. The plan is to go to Dharamsala, Delhi/New Delhi, Agra, Jaipur and Varanasi but we have a very limited amount of time-10 days. Do you have any suggestions on the best places to go in this area?

it's going to be hot, so be prepared, especially in june. Delhi itself doesnt have lots to offer, Red Fort is a good 2 hour visit, and some of the mosques are quite beautiful. Agra you can do in one day, taking the train first thing in the morning from delhi, and one back to around 6pm if i remember correctly. Dharmasala is a really nice place to visit, and to just chill out, its like being in the himalayas, away from the bustle of normal indian cities. depending on the type of holiday you're looking for, but i'd give more time to there, because its so much more relaxed, and it depends on who you're travelling with - if you have a female companion, she'll appreciate the break from the staring and groping that you can expect in other cities. if you're into buddhism i would stretch the trip up to ladakh, and enjoy pure beauty in the mountains, and more monasteries than you can shake a stick at. you can fly there within one hour for about 100dollars, or you can take the manali road for about 2 days, which is an interesting trip in itself.
enjoy your holiday.

Delhi sucks... Visit Kashmir instead for a skiing/snow-boarding adventure/.

The plan looks good though 10 days is a very short time.... it should be just enough to cover the places
