It seems to me the top baby girl names like Sopia, Emma, Olivia, Ella, Sarah, and Abigail are old-fashioned names - they are just really popular so no one looks at them as old-fashioned anymore. I have always been drawn to older names but now that I'm having children my lifelong favorites that my friends used to make fun of me over are now their kids names! So, I'm now going even further "out of the box" and looking for something pretty and feminine but a bit different. Some on my list that I like are Millicent, Evelyn and Genevieve. (you can see what I mean) I'm still trying to find the one name that I love - do you know of any different old-fashioned names that are not super popular?

I went down the list of old fashioned names and picked out the ones I liked the best. I am a fan of old fashioned names too. If I have a daughter she will be named Michaela Grace. Good Luck on finding the perfect name

I used to work in a nursing home and there was a woman there named Stella May and I always loved that name. Other names that immediately come to mind are Mabel, Gertrude, Mary, Rosamund, Clara, Constance (Connie for short), Madeline, Careen, Susan, Eleanor, Lillian, Caroline. Check out old movies for star and character names or ask some of the older female members of your family for some old fashioned names. Oh yea, another old-fashioned name is Antoinette (Toni for short).

I love the name Evelyn... I am at 36 weeks, and if I have a girl that is what I really want to name her... too bad my husband hates it!! We are going with Anna or Emily, and the middle name is another old-fashioned name, Lucille. That is after my grandma.

Hannah and Abigail are two more, but I don't like them... and Abigail is pretty popular again.

I say go with Evelyn... it's perfect!

I have a sister in law name Millicent & she HATES it. I named my daughter Lillie Elizabeth & I think that is an old time name. There are plenty of names out there, just check in to it. Just remember that you are the only one that has to like the name.

This may sound crazy but I love the name Imogene. The nicknames are Immy, Midge, or Genie. I also like Eleanor. Louisa isn't bad either. I have a friend whose little girls are named Audrey and Eloise...very cute!
