Could someone please tell me of some good "chick flicks" about getting your heart broken and getting through it. I really need someone to relate to right now and I think a couple of movies will help motivate me. Any cute comedies will work also...

Untamed Heart with Christian Slater and Marisa Tomei was awesome! It's probably not the same type of broken heart you're referring to, but it's still a good one for this question.

Also, Somekind of Wonderful with Eric Stoltz, Leah Thompson and Mary Stewart-Masterson is a great one. Two people in that one get a broken heart at one point or another, and they both deal with it differently.

Those are the two I came up with off the top of my head, but if I think of any others, I will come back and add. They're a bit older, too. Late eighties, early nineties maybe.

I'm a guy, but i have a few. there's an older movie (80s) called About Last Night. it has a very young demi moore and rob lowe) in my opinion, it's the most accurate movie about relationships that i've ever seen. it's very funny at times, very sad at times, and EVERYBODY has been in this situation and knows how hard it is to go thru it. it really is a must see. trust me, you'll be glad you did...

Also, try Message In A Bottle. i've asked this question many times to a lot of different people... "which would be harder, being in a relationship with someone who lost someone extremely special to them and to ALL those around them, or coming after a relationship that was extremely bitter and hurtful to the person you are now seeing?" this movie is about the first part of my question...

hope these help and i hope your heart mends... trust me, i've been in enough bad relationships... remember, everything is temporary... and hopefully you'll find someone even better

The movie Dying Young with Julia Roberts is a good movie. I don't know about it really being about getting your heart broke but it is about falling in love with someone who is ill and then not wanting to let go and getting through it. I love this movie. Good Luck!

Bridget Jones' Diary always lifts my spirits... While you were sleeping with Sandra Bullock... Under the Tuscan Sun...

Hope these can help you get over your heartache. If not, a weekend trip, shoe shopping or maybe some kickboxing will do the trick!!!
