I have seen a lot of different heel lotions, balms, creams, etc., at the stores. I know there's the Miracle Foot Repair - I tried that a while back and it seemed to work okay (and of course, Vaseline's an old stand-by.) I just know there's a lot out there.... Has anyone found a stand-out product they feel works really well, noticeably better than the others?

The Body Shop has some amazing products. Their Peppermint foot pumice has crushed lava rocks for exfoliating and the rest of the peppermint line is so rejuvenating. They also carry a Hemp Foot Protector which is beyond amazing...I don't know how else to describe it. It's made to repair dry cracked feet and helps maintain moisture. I use the peppermint foot scrub and the hemp cream. Check it out!! They also give little samples too.

Flexitol Heel Balm is amazing but greasy, put it on at night with clean white socks and it'll work overnight
Dr Scholls makes a suprisingly good smelling foot cream for her in a green and purple tube. After you get your feet healed with the balm, you can use the cram int he morning. My feet were horrible because I work on my feet 8-10 hours a day and those were the products I used and now they're super soft :-)

I'm newly diagnosed with diabetes, so foot care is EXTREMELY important to my long-term health. I was given a sample of Aquaphor by the diabetic education nurse, and I'm in LUUUUUUV with the stuff. It's awesome on my feet, on my rough elbows, and even made my tattoos heal within ONE WEEK (which sounds unbelievable, but it's totally true).
Aquaphor. It's AWESOME. (Not to mention very inexpensive in comparision to "big name" stuff.)
For your feet, dry your tootsies right out of the shower, rub the Aquaphor in, then put on your socks. You won't believe the difference. It's just amazing!

i like alpha hydrox, the special one that they have for feet. it is 12% alpha hydroxy acid. i put it on at night, then put on socks and wear them to bed. in the morning my feet are much softer. it might take a couple of treatments if your feet are in pretty bad shape. if your heels are actually cracked, it will burn to put it on a little, although it will ultimately help. i use superglue in skin cracks. it stops the pain and they heal right up.

FOR SOFTENING, I WOULD USE THE DOCTOR SCHOOL'S FOOT CREAM WITH UREA IN IT. THIS WORKS DOWN MINOR CALLOUSES QUICKLY. GOLD BOND MAKES SOME PRETTY GOOD CREAMS AND LOTIONS, HOWEVER, I WOULD USE A BODY BUTTER WITH COTTON SOCKS AT NIGHT AFTER YOU SHOWER.
