Babies 1 month and older can have bowel movements anywhere from several times a day to once a week and be perfectly normal. What matters is what they are like when they have them.
What are the stools like when they pass? If they are soft and squishy then your child is not constipated. If they are kind of hard and more formed like an adults then that would be constipation and you should talk to your doctor about what to do as there are several options.
Infrequent poops can also sometimes mean they are not getting enough to eat so you might want to have the doctor do a weight check just to make sure that's not an issue.
You might want to call your doctor just to be sure because of all the crying. Babies do cry a lot but if it seems like he is in pain it could be gas, constipation pain, colic, or maybe hungry and not getting enough.

Breastfed babies can go for about a week or so w/o a bowel movement and not be constipated. Did you check w/ your doctor about the formula after breastfeeding, 2 oz plus nursing sounds like quite alot for a 1 month old baby. Certain things that you are eating may be making him gassy also, onions, creamed corn or broccli are just some on the things that could upset your baby's stomach. Also, some baby's just don't tolorate formula to well and may need a soy or hypoallergenic formula. I would check w/ the baby's doc and then go off of there.

A breast fed baby usually poops 2 times a day or at least once a day. But since he is taking formula to, talk to his doctor about the formula and his symtoms it could be the formula he is using. Try to breast feed only if you can.

Best to check with a doctor or pediatrician.
DON'T buy any drugs etc that anyone reccommends on here. Two poos a week isn't really bad, but I would still want it checked out.

Buy a bottle of "little tummies". Its a baby formulated anti-gas type syrup. Its usually pink. Really helps with colic-babies. Had one too, he still has problems with beef, tree nuts and cheese. Just to name a few! (He's 7!) Also add 1/2 teaspoon or 1/4 teaspoon of mineral oil to his bottle and try gentle massages around his tummy. My baby Dr. told me to do this, but check with yours. You may need to move him to Soy milk instead of regular milk. Lots of babies have problems digesting the canned infamil in the yellow label. Use the blue one (soy).
Good luck!
