Anyone, can have any name. There are no laws stating that you have to have a name the directly corresponds to your gender. So yes, a guy can have the name Kaitlyn. It might be a bit odd and out of place. But, if this guy's parents wanted it, they could have it.

i've never heard a guy named Kaitlyn, but i don't think there's anything wrong with it. i'm a boy and my name is riley, so I get teased sometimes about it being a girl's name. But then again, i'm gay, so i guess it doesn't really matter LOL

Anyone can really have any name. Especially these days with all the different names people come up with. A lot of girls are given masculine names too. It really doesn't matter. I have friends named meredith and courtney, and both of them are staight males.

I haven't heard of a guy having that name but if someone does then obviously he can have the name because that's what his parents named him.
